2010 MINI EXPO

It is our great pleasure to announce the second annual Northeast PA Fire Police Training Weekend (NEPA FPW) in which several fire police and related emergency traffic safety classes will be held together at one facility. The invitation to attend is open to all emergency service personnel, or anyone who works on the street who would benefit from the training being offered. It will be an excellent opportunity to take classes that may not have been available in your local area, as well as to meet, network with and share ideas with fire police and other professionals from all over PA, and perhaps beyond.

This weekend is NOT JUST for FIRE POLICE.  There will be several classes offered that will benefit Fire Fighters, Ambulance personal or any First Responder as well.

Registrations will be
available mid summer 2010

They have quite an impressive facility. Parts of it are still under construction, but even the parts that are currently ready create a facility that is specifically designed to accommodate the training needs of emergency service personnel (including hands-on traffic safety training facilities, real road simulators and real driving courses), a facility that more than accomplishes its goal. Click on the link above and scroll down to the "Proposed PSTI Map" at the bottom to see all of the amenities that currently exist or are currently being built.

On Saturday evening, there will be a "mini expo," (aka vendor night) with vendors of traffic safety and emergency service related products to set up booths with items for sale which attendees can purchase.  Click here for more info

This event was created for a number of reasons. One of them being:
Lets face it ... times are tough. Not every fire department can afford to send members across the state for a training weekend, no matter how good it is. We are holding this event in the Northeast area of the commonwealth so that Emergency Responders from this end of the state, who can no longer afford the expense of traveling all the way to Somerset, can have the same level of training or better and other opportunities a lot closer to home.

We just want to provide the same opportunity to those in this part of the state who can't afford to go to Somerset regardless of their schedule. So, if you can afford to travel to Somerset, by all means, please do. Although we also hope to see you at our weekend as well and as previously stated, this weekend is also open to anyone who wants to attend from anywhere.

Brochures with class descriptions and registration forms will be mailed out as soon as possible.

In the meantime, mark your calendars for
